I graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a concentration in women and gender studies. In addition, I have a Masters of Arts degree from City University of Seattle in Counseling Psychology. I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), geriatric mental health specialist (GMHS), registered counselor as well as a mental health professional (MHP) in Washington state.
My experience is vast in working with individuals, couples,families and children. Each person is unique in how they cope with stress and concerns about not only themselves but also their relationships with others. Some of the issues I continue to work with include depression, anxiety, PTSD, schizophrenia, Alzhemiers/Dementia, role changes, bipolar (mania or depression), work related stressors, suicidal ideation and addictions/recovery.
Some therapies that I continue to use are strength based. Some examples include, but, are not limited to Rogerian, Existential, Cognitive/Behavioral and Hypnotherapy. All aspects of our work together is tailored to meet your unique needs.
It continues to be an honor and a privledge in working with people as they overcome challenges to rediscover freedom and power in their own lives.
